Trench 2 at Wheldrake revealed one small and two very large linear features. In the end we didn't have time to excavate these, but they confirmed the geophysical survey results -- these features are the enclosure ditches surrounding the round-house settlement.
The [Ouse and Derwent Project](https://www.facebook.com/IAOuseandDerwent/) is a three year community project examining the Iron Age landscape in the Vale of York. It is funded by a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
