B cell-extrinsic and intrinsic factors linked to early immune repletion after anti-CD20 therapy in patients with Multiple Sclerosis of African Ancestry

We explored the potential of Illumina Infinium whole-genome genotyping (WGG) arrays to delineate SNPs that may influence treatment response or prognosis in multiple sclerosis (MS). Utilizing the Illumina Infinium ImmunoArray 24v2, our investigation centered on patients of African ancestry with MS. We sought to identify differences in genetic polymorphisms between individuals exhibiting accelerated B cell repopulation after anti-CD20 therapy and those with the expected six-month repopulation kinetics. To investigate and identify genetic polymorphisms of interest that may contribute to more rapid B-cell repopulation after semi-annual infusions of anti-CD20 monoclonal antibody therapies.
