资源简介:
Antrodia camphorata commonly known as Niu-chang-chih or Chang-chih, is a polypore basidiomycete which specifically grows on the inner rotten heart wood wall of the Taiwan endemic tree Cinnamomum kanehirae Hay preferentially growing in forests within altitude 200 to 2000 m. It produces various shapes of fruiting bodies (such as clintheriform, pinnacle and so on) and with the surface having white, reddish brown, hazel or fawn appearance. It is extremely rare in nature, and is cultured commonly now. The fungus has been attributed with a range of beneficial effects including anti-tumor activities, increasing immuno-modulating activities, anti-allergy, inhibiting platlet agglutination, anti-virus, anti-bacteria, anti-high blood pressure, decreasing blood sugar, decreasing cholesterol, hepatic protection, anti-fatigue function and so on. Biological active compounds from Antrodia camphorata extracts are being characterized, including polysaccharides, triterpenoids, superoxide dismutase (SOD), steroids and so on.
