Food establishments in Helsinki under food control supervision by the Food Safety Department

The material includes food premises within the scope of food control in Helsinki. The material contains places for serving and selling. The objectives of food control are to: — to ensure the proper quality and safety of food for consumers; — protect consumers from food-related health hazards and economic losses; — ensure that consumers are provided with sufficient truthful information about food for their choices. Food premises means any building or apartment or part thereof, or any other outdoor or indoor space in which food products intended for sale or otherwise to be disposed of are prepared, stored, transported, marketed, served or otherwise processed, excluding the place of primary production (Food Act 23/2006). Wholesale items are excluded from the material. The information in the material is based on notifications from operators.
