Pleuromamma xiphias RADSeq - raw sequence reads

These data were collected as part of a population genomic study of the planktonic copepod Pleuromamma xiphias across the Atlantic Ocean. The data derive from individual adult copepods, collected at 12 sites on the Atlantic Meridional Transect Cruise 22 in 2012 (spanning from approximately 39N – 39S). Libraries were prepared following the ezRAD protocol (Toonen et al. 2013). Sequences are from Illumina HiSeq, with quality trimming and adaptor removal using TrimGalore. The overarching goals of the study were to: (1) test for significant population structure at neutral loci among populations across five major ocean biomes in the Atlantic, (2) seek evidence of adaptive selection within gyres among populations in core and marginal habitats, as indicated by spatial trends in allele frequency across two replicate subtropical gyes (north, south), and (3) identify environmental parameters that are most important in explaining the distribution of genomic variation across the species range.
