Prokaryotic communities in biogas producing biomasses

In a period in which global warming becomes increasingly worrying, the replacement of fossil fuels by biomasses, aiming biogas generation, is an economically viable and environmentally friendly alternative. The use of lignocellulosic biomasses for biogas generation can slow the biogas generation process. Thus, this work aimed to develop an efficient inoculant composed of cattle manure and rumen for the anaerobic digestion of maize silage. Four proportions of manure-rumen were tested as inoculants (IN) in this biomass.
