Comparative genomics of Aquimarina species. Aquimarina species

In this study, we compare the genome content and architecture of Aquimarina sp. strains Aq78, Aq107, Aq135 and Aq349, isolated from Irciniidae sponges off the coast of Algarve, South Portugal. Focus is placed on their role in biogeochemical cycling, including potential chitin degradation capacities, and in the biosynthesis of biologically active natural products.
