Computational tools for out-of-plane seismic analysis of archetypal Italian masonry church gabled façades in 3DEC

This repository contains: The simplified discontinuum numerical strategy implemented in a Distinct Element modelling (DEM) framework, developed in 3DEC 5.2 (Itasca), to capture three-dimensional OOP mechanism evolution and related force-displacement variations at exceptionally high-resolution, calculating the participating mass during the post-peak response. The dedicated FISH script to improve computational efficiency and simplifying data management during the simulations. The semi-automated script implemented using Grasshopper for Rhinoceros 3D, to generate multiple DEM-compatible models.
