Utilities Sewer Basins in Pinellas County, Florida. Sewer Basin Area polygon data was orginally developed to help with tracking “gravity” sewer asset inspections and Smoke testing analysis. A Pinellas County Utilities Sanitary Sewer Basin is a defining area of gravity fed sewage and private property pumping station sewage that utilizes gravity flow into it's particular pressurized Lift/Pump Station that manages the basin's sewage output to our treatment plants. Sewer Basins are named and relate to the Pump Station that handles the basin area's sewage output. Sewer Basins can also include sewage output from several adjacent sewer pump stations, acting as a receiver of sewage for the continued conveyance journey to our treatment plant. Some pump stations are used in pressurized system boosting and may not have a related Sewer Basin.
