A Novel Treatment for Office Aspiration Curettage in Cases of Retained Products of Conception: A Randomized Controlled Trial

This study evaluated the success rate of Karman aspiration cannula in evacuating retained products of conception after failed misoprostol treatment, without the need for additional hysteroscopy. We found that office aspiration for the management of residua after missed abortion, with no need for anesthesia or analgesia is a feasible solution that avoids operative time and costs. Data were abstracted from EMR.本研究评估了米索前列醇（misoprostol）治疗失败后，无需额外宫腔镜手术（hysteroscopy）时，卡尔曼吸引套管（Karman aspiration cannula）清除妊娠物残留（retained products of conception）的成功率。研究结果显示，针对稽留流产（missed abortion）后的残留病灶实施门诊吸引术，且无需使用麻醉或镇痛措施，是一种可行的解决方案，可有效节省手术时长与治疗成本。本研究数据均提取自电子病历（Electronic Medical Record，EMR）。
