PHYTOLITHIC ANALYSIS OF NEOLITHIC AND EARLY BRONZE AGE POTTERY FROM KOREA

Five pieces of Korean pottery were examined for evidence of opal phytoliths that would indicate the presence of domesticated grasses. All of the samples contained phytoliths. In addition, two sherds yielded diatoms, and two contained carbonized plant fibers. The observed phytoliths were low in frequency and consisted of Festucoid, Panicoid, and Elongate types.本研究对5件韩国陶器进行检测，以寻找可指示驯化草本植物存在的蛋白石植硅体（opal phytoliths）相关证据。所有样本均检出植硅体（phytoliths）。此外，2件陶片（sherds）中检出硅藻（diatoms），另有2件样本含有碳化植物纤维（carbonized plant fibers）。本次观测到的植硅体检出频率较低，类型涵盖羊茅型植硅体（Festucoid）、黍型植硅体（Panicoid）及长形植硅体（Elongate types）。
