CloudSEN12 is a large-scale dataset for cloud semantic understanding in Sentinel-2 satellite imagery, containing 49,400 image patches that cover all continents except Antarctica. Each image patch covers an area of 5090 × 5090 meters, and includes Sentinel-2 Level 1C and Level 2A data, manually annotated thick clouds, thin clouds and cloud shadows, Sentinel-1 synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data, digital elevation model, surface water occurrence frequency, land cover categories, as well as cloud mask results from six advanced cloud detection algorithms. The dataset supports weakly-supervised, self-supervised and semi-supervised learning strategies, and provides three types of manually annotated data: high-quality, scribbled and unlabeled.
