Real Estate Price Index in Qatar

QCB started collecting information on the sale of real estate properties, from the Ministry of Justice. QCB collected suburb-level real estate transaction data and developed a monthly series on Real Estate Index, after seasonally decomposing the data to isolate the effects of seasonal trends. The year 2009-10 (April-March) was chosen as base year, after consultations with the Ministry.
