Five sites samples of water body disturbed by duck farm sewages

Our study was conducted on a representative duck farm with approximate 5,000 ducks nearby Han River in Shantou City, Guangdong Province of south China. In brief, to discharge excreta and other wastes from the production process, the duck farm built a separate unidirectional waterway and brought in water from the Han River. This waterway is made of concrete. That is, prior to the waste reception from the duck farm, the channel had the similar environmental parameters as the main Han River. The baseline for this study is site X0, which is located 200 meters upstream of the discharge outlet. The sampling location at the sewage discharge outlet was established as X1. Sites X2, X3, and X4 are situated 200, 400, and 600 meters away from Site X1, respectively, downstream of the discharge outlet.
