Replication Package: Projecting the Emerging Mindset of SWE Agent by Launching a Wild Code Understanding Journey

This dataset accompanies the paper "Projecting the Emerging Mindset of SWE Agent by Launching a Wild Code Understanding Journey," submitted to Machine Intelligence Research. It contains the complete replication materials for a trajectory-level observation study of SWE agents performing repository-level code understanding. The package includes: (1) 408 recorded agent trajectories across 4 foundation models, 5 experimental conditions, 6 open-source repositories, and 4 task families; (2) the Ada apparatus source code (VS Code extension); (3) pre-computed outputs for five observation lenses (surface activity, journey arc, action policy, automatic adjudication, and codebase footprint); (4) analysis and figure-generation scripts; (5) LLM evaluation prompts, raw judge outputs, and human-evaluation alignment data; and (6) a forked repository visualizer for codebase footprint rendering. All intermediate and final results reported in the paper can be reproduced from the provided scripts and data.
