Data from: A classification framework for identifying bronchitis and pneumonia in children based on a small-scale cough sounds dataset

The RAW dataset includes MP3 files on cough sounds collected in the West China Second University Hospital, Sichuan University, Chengdu, China. Data are obtained from 173 children patients aged 0-11 years with bronchitis and pneumonia. There is only one recording of MP3 files for each patient in the dataset. There are 82 MP3 files on cough sounds of a patient with pneumonia named "P", while 91 MP3 file on cough sounds with bronchitis is named "B".

The recorder remained on throughout the visits. Family members often accompany children. So the whole recording process may include human speeches, periodic tones from medical equipment, and various other sounds from interactions between parents and their children.
