This table provides monthly, quarterly and annual data, since 2012, of the number of companies registered in the Social Security according to aggregations of economic activities, intervals of employees and places of creation of the company. Monthly data are available since May 2020, as data were previously received quarterly. Data from companies for the Canary Islands are taken into account. Companies that are registered with registered workers, in the General Regime and the Special Regime for Coal Mining, are counted on the last day of the month. In this case, natural persons are not counted. The place of creation indicates the autonomous community of creation of the company, which is obtained taking into account the second and third digits of the NIF, which indicate the province of creation of the company.
