NRS-21156 | Teaching material from the New South Wales Correspondence School (Blackfriars)

This series consists of teaching material that was used at the New South Wales Correspondence School between 1935 and 1990. It includes Secondary Teaching material (c.1940-1990) and The Kindergarten and Primary Teaching material (1935-1980). The material is in the form of 'sets', which represent one week's work.The records also include a small number of subject programmes and syllabuses (1951-1969). They include the English Department programmes (1969), syllabus in Combined Physics and Chemistry (1957), and syllabus in Economics (1963). Also included is an audio cassette which is a French language demonstration tape, 'How do we Know', that was used for the Lower Primary Social Studies Class, and a script for the play 'Going up! Going down!' that was written by Correspondence School teacher, J.C. Linquist, and was recorded on 3 July 1979. It was for year 11 students and ran for approximately ten minutes.
