Rocha et al, 2017 - Sex-specific responses to fragmentation

Number of captures for males and females of Carollia perspicillata and Rhinophylla pumilio using ground-level mist nets in 39 sampling sites at the Biological Dynamics of Forest Fragments Project (BDFFP), Brazilian Amazon. Sampling was conducted during the dry and wet season between 2011 and 2013. For each site, nine variables describing vegetation structure is provided. Moreover, four metrics each for landscape composition (primary forest cover, secondary forest cover – initial, intermediate and advanced stage) and landscape configuration (edge density, patch density, mean nearest neighbour distance and mean shape index) are also given for landscape buffers with radii of 250, 500, 750, 1,000 and 1,500 m surrounding each of the 39 sampling sites.
