Serum PFAS in Municipal Firefighters

These data include demographics, fireground exposure variables, and PFAS measurements for 154 firefighters (99 incumbents and 55 recruits). Follow-up data collection occurred for recruit firefighters only. <br> Fireground exposure variables in this dataset are: total number of fire runs (total.num.fireruns), total duration (hours) of fire runs (total.duration.hrs), days since most recent fire (days.since.MRF), number of structural fire runs (str.num.fireruns), duration (hours) of structural fire runs (str.duration.hrs), and days since most recent structural fire (days.since.struc.MRF). <br> The nine PFAS are: perfluorohexane sulfonate (PFHxS), linear PFOS (n-PFOS), monomethyl branched isomers of PFOS (Sm-PFOS), linear perfluorooctanoate (n-PFOA), branched isomers of perfluorooctanoate (Sb-PFOA), perfluorononanoate (PFNA), perfluorodecanoate (PFDA), perfluoroundecanoate (PFUnDA), and 2-(N-methyl-perfluorooctane sulfonamido) acetate (MeFOSAA). PFAS units are nanograms per milliliter (ng/mL). The limit of detection for all PFAS in this study was 0.1 ng/mL. <br> <br>
