The dataset contains the following research data related to nitrogen and phosphorus cycling in aerobic granular sludge (AGS) reactor: correction factor for N2O emission calculation for periods without stripping during aerated steps (SD 1); probes applied for fluorescence in-situ hybridization (FISH) (SD 2); microbial community data (SD 3); evolution of in-situ DOC, nitrogen compounds and ortho-phosphate of SBR 1 and SBR 2 (SD 4); evolution of in-situ DOC, nitrogen compounds and ortho-phosphate in batch experiments (SD 5).
The data is the result of the international project: "Model-based optimization of the operational conditions for mitigation of nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions from an aerobic granular sludge reactor performing integrated nitrogen and phosphorus removal". The research was funded by the Research Foundation – Flanders (FWO), grant number G000024N, and by the National Science Centre, Poland under the OPUS call in the Weave program (Project No. 2022/47/I/ST10/01368).
