This dataset is derived from the book *Glaciers in the Hengduan Mountains*, which is part of the Scientific Investigation Series of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau and Hengduan Mountains. The book is chief-edited by Li Jijun, associate-edited by Su Zhen, and supervised by the Institute of Geography, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The investigation team mentioned in the book is the Comprehensive Investigation Team of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the publisher is Science Press. Given the abundant precipitation and deep snow cover in some areas of the Hengduan Mountains, avalanches, wind-blown snow and abnormal snowfall have become common natural disasters, causing great harm to the work and daily life of local residents. This book provides detailed records of snow disasters in the Hengduan Mountains region. This dataset contains 2 worksheets and 2 images, namely *Statistical Table of Snow Disaster Status and Hazard Degree*, *Regional Characteristics of Avalanches*, *Topographic Cutting Degree Map of Western Sichuan, Northern Yunnan and Southeastern Tibet*, and *Avalanche Hazard Range Map of the Hengduan Mountains*.
