D. labrax RNA-Seq_head kidney_NNV

Nervous necrosis virus (NNV) is a pathogen affecting Dicentrarchus labrax, causing high mortality and morbidity. The present study was focused on the course of NNV experimental infection of D. labrax, especially on survivors (virus carrier state) which indicated viral persistence. To determine the carrier state of D. labrax head kidney, a gene expression analysis of selected immune-related genes was performed and its transcriptome 14 days post infection (dpi) was profiled. Head kidney total RNA isolated from NNV infected (n=5) and non-infected (n=4) fish were subjected to sequencing. Sequencing of the nine libraries (NNV-infected and non-infected head kidney) yielded a total of 107,140,300 and 61,818,643 sequences for NNV-infected and non-infected samples, respectively.
