A fast PAR-CLIP variant using phenolic extractions

We performed PAR-CLIP in three variants using ELAVL1 (HuR) as example. HuR-interacting transcripts were identified by three methods: 1. Classical PAR-CLIP as described by Hafner et al. (2010); 2. a variant using on-bead ligation of adapters as described in Benhalevy et al. (2017), and 3. a variant in which all gel or membrane excision steps were replaced by phenolic extraction to remove non-cross-linked RNA (pCLIP).
