Dust event identification product dataset collection over Monte Cimone, Italy 2003-2023

This dataset collection provides the total, fine and coarse particle concentration measured with an optical
particle counter at Monte Cimone, Italy, between the years 2003 and 2023. The fine particle concentration is derived from the particle concentration of particles with a diameter lower than 1µm and the coarse particle
concentration from particles with a diameter larger than 1µm. Besides that, the dataset contains the
PMcoarse concentration, which is the PM concentration calculated from the coarse particle size distribution, and the PM10 concentration.
The last column reports a flag whether the respective day was affected by dust transport or not, which was
identified using the method presented in Duchi et al., 2016 (10.12952/journal.elementa.000085).
