资源简介:
To know the systemic interactions and communications of endocrine factors which can modulate many biological processes in the two-spotted cricket, Gryllus bimaculatus. We focus on the omnivorous characteristics in this species, which are involved in phytophagous and carnivorous behaviors. In addition, physiological observations on the dietary preference in this species indicate that endocrine control and metabolic regulation are crucial for their energy requirements and innate feeding behavior to select their appropriate diet, zoo diet or plant diet. In this project, we analyze several essential tissues which include many endocrine cells; brain, subesophageal ganglion, corpora cardiaca, corpora allata, and midgut. We also analyze one more tissue, fat body, which is important for systemic metabolisms. Finally, we aim to establish the endocrine control and metabolic control in this species by showing the endocrine and metabolic attlas (endocrine ligand-receptor or metabolic network or communications at the single cell level) in order to resolve such self-selective innate feeding behavior.
