Transcriptional profiles of amygdalohippocampla area neurons. Mus musculus

Amygdalohippocampal area (AHi) neurons projecting to the medial preoptic area (MPOA) are activated by both pup-directed aggressive and parenting behavior in male mice. To investigate whether the two populations --attack-responding neurons and parenting-responding neurons-- have different transcriptional profiles, we carried out single-cell RNA sequencing from single labeled neurons. Intracellular contents from each individual cell were collected using the microcapillary method.
