Statistics for Oktoberfest (Wiesn). The Oktoberfest in Munich (vocally Wiesn) is the largest folk festival in the world. It has been held since 1810 on the Theresienwiese in the Bavarian capital of Munich and is visited by around six million people every year. In 2020 and 2021, Oktoberfest was cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Every 4 years (until 1996 every 3 years) the [Bayerische Zentral-Agriculture Festival] (https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bayerisches_Zentral-Landwirtschaftsfest) takes place: 1987, 1990, 1993, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016.
