Exploring the Factors influencing Citizen E-Government Service Adoption in a Smart City: An Integration of Innovation Diffusion Theory with the DeLone & Mclean IS Success Model

This study presents a theoretical model designed to investigate the determinants influencing citizens’ adoption of e-government services within a smart city. The model integrates the innovation diffusion theory with the DeLone & McLean IS success model. Utilizing a sample of 474 citizens, the proposed model was empirically tested via structural equation modeling (SEM). This study highlights the importance for e-government services to be both technically advanced and aligned with cultural and societal values in a smart city environment.
