The soil moisture index is a partial result from the production of National Land Cover data where it was used to delimit wetlands. The product reports soil moisture in a continuous spectrum from dry to wet and has 10 meters resolution. Soil Humidity Index_NMD combines the topographic measure Depth to Water with a Soil Topographic wetness Index, see ARTICLE Soil Humidity Index_NMD.pdf (available via downloadable material) for more information on the method.
