Data set on the indigenous flood control and management knowledge and its effectiveness in flood disaster risk reduction in Nigeria’s coastal communities

The data set used principal component analysis to measured and classified the 36 indigenous flood control and management techniques and their level of effectiveness in flood disaster risk reduction in Nigeria’s coastal communities into nine significant components. These are the indigenous flood control knowledge, the indigenous flood forecasting knowledge, indigenous technical knowledge, indigenous flood magnitude detection knowledge, and indigenous flood prevention knowledge . Others are indigenous safety knowledge, indigenous food security knowledge , indigenous flood emergency preparation knowledge and indigenous flood coping knowledge (3.583%).

该数据集运用主成分分析法对尼日利亚沿海社区中36种本土防洪与管理技术及其在防洪减灾风险降低方面的有效性进行了测量与分类，将其划分为九个显著组成部分。这包括本土防洪知识、本土洪水预测知识、本土技术知识、本土洪水规模检测知识以及本土防洪预防知识。其余部分包括本土安全知识、本土粮食安全知识、本土洪水应急准备知识以及本土洪水应对知识（占比3.583%）。
