Meiotic recombination within S. lycopersicum Back-cross hybrids

This project consists of short read data from one F1 hybrid and 234 Back-Cross (BC) samples. First an F1 hybrid between between S. lycopersicum cv. Moneyberg-TMV (female) x S. lycopersicum cv. Micro-Tom (male) was created, followed by using the F1 and Moneyberg-TMV for the creation of 234 male and female BC-samples. These BC samples are divided over 115 Male-BC samples, using the F1 as male parent and Moneyberg-TMV as female parent, and 118 Female-BC samples, using the F1 as female parent and Moneyberg-TMV as male parent. Short-read DNA sequencing was performed on all 235 samples using Illumina platforms. The data was used to detect male and female specific meiotic recombination events within intra-specifc S.lycopersicum hybrids.
