资源简介:
The gender equality indices dataset contains two composite indices: the Gender Development Index (GDI) and the Gender Inequality Index (GII). Both of them were initially developed by the United Nations Development Programme and have been extended and slightly reformulated to construct a consistent time series by Stotsky, Shibuya, Kolovich, and Kebhaj (2016). The GDI measures gender disparities in human development across three dimensions: health, education, and economic resources. The GII is a composite measure that reflects gender inequality in achievements in three dimensions: reproductive health, empowerment, and the labor market. A higher GDI value indicates greater gender equality, while a lower GII value signifies more equality between genders.
