National Scenarios Dataset 2025 - Business As Usual, Current Policies and Net-Zero

This is a pre-release of the National Scenarios Data 2025 - Business As Usual, Current Policies and Net-Zero [Dataset]. Please refer to the Rules for data use and data sharing of the National Scenarios data at To address the literature, model and scenario data gap, we have developed a first of its kind open modelling protocol in the IAM field to collect national scenarios' data set. The main objective of this paper is to outline the modelling protocol, to describe the national scenarios database and provide an overview of the collected scenario data. The processed dataset is aimed at addressing the following needs: 1. Centralized repository of national-level scenarios from modelling teams around the world with different spatial representation (subnational, national, regional and global models). 2. Country level emissions and energy scenarios at economy-wide and sectoral level from submitting team from 2020 to 2050. This pre-release hosts limited data, with the publication of more data variables to follow with every publication. The available data are the emissions and energy variables that have been submitted by the subnational, national, regional and global modelling teams.
