The RiceChain-Plus framework introduces an advanced blockchain-based solution tailored for the rice supply chain, addressing key challenges of security, privacy, and efficiency. This study evaluates RiceChain-Plus using comprehensive performance metrics, including transaction and execution costs, gas consumption, energy consumption, execution time, and transaction throughput.Our analysis reveals that RiceChain-Plus achieves a notable reduction in transaction costs, with an average cost efficiency of approximately 9,781 units across various interactions. The execution cost remains low, averaging 43,965 units, emphasizing the framework's computational efficiency. Gas consumption metrics further substantiate these findings, indicating a significant optimization over traditional blockchain systems.Energy consumption metrics reveal a remarkably low usage, averaging just 0.000093 Joules per interaction, underscoring RiceChain-Plus's commitment to energy efficiency. The system demonstrates rapid execution times, with an average processing time of 44 milliseconds, and transaction times averaging 14 seconds, resulting in a transaction throughput of 0.071 transactions per second.These results highlight the potential of RiceChain-Plus to transform rice supply chains by enhancing operational efficiency and reducing costs. The framework's integration of elliptic curve cryptography and IoT sensors ensures robust security and privacy, making it a viable solution for real-world agricultural applications.
