BrdU labeling combined with genome-wide bisulfite sequencing (Repli-BS-Seq) reveals a global lag in the inheritance of CpG methylation following DNA replication, giving rise to cell-cycle-dependent epigenetic variation. Overall design: In this study, we pulsed cells with BrdU to label nascent DNA and then performed whole genome bisulfite sequencing on either the immunoprecipitated nascent DNA or bulk DNA.
