HEALTH STATUS ASSESSMENT OF ADULTS UNDERGOING OBESITY MANAGEMENT AT PRIMARY HEALTHCARE LEVEL IN SLOVENIA

The data was collected to assess the characteristics and clinical status of adult participants, enrolled in the Obesity Management Program (OMP) in Health Promotion Centres (HPCs; “Centri za krepitev zdravja”), specialized units within primary health care centres in Slovenia. Evidence on the health status of individuals enrolled in the OMP was previously limited, particularly in regards to the presence of malnutrition and sarcopenic obesity. A cross-sectional study was conducted to assess the health status of adults at the entry point of their enrolment in the OMP within HPCs. The data was collected by the HPCs between September and December 2024. Participants underwent an initial interview by registered nurses using a structured questionnaire, anthropometric measurements were taken and two screening tests were administered by a registered nurse or physiotherapist.
