Roundtable on the sea rescue cause in the Central Mediterranean

Roundtable Discussion on the Sea Rescue Cause in the Central Mediterranean. Drawing on contributions from seven participants, the dataset was comprised by forty (40) minutes of audio-recording. Among several topics discussed in the roundtable, six are worthy of consideration: the description of the work done by the Sea-Watch members, the framework of legality and illegality, the notions of individual and collective responsibility, the motivations of prosocial behavior, the limitations of engagement, and the question about perceiving the migration situation as an emergency. Due to confidentiality and anonymity reasons, participants’ names, corresponding departments and academic degrees were anonymized.
