Data on the evolution of the production costs and the perception of the effectiveness of Bt cotton in Northern China over a decade

Data resulting from surveys conducted over the 2002-2013 period in Hebei province where Bt cotton had been commercially released since 1997. In addition to specific data related to production costs and farmers' opinions about the effectiveness/profitability of Bt cotton use, data shared pertained also to farmers' families composition and their perception of the evolution of the various cotton pests.
