Cell-free fetal DNA (cffDNA) has been shown to circulate in maternal plasma during pregnancy. Cell-free DNA (cfDNA) can be used for non-invasive prenatal testing and diagnosis of single gene disorders. It is important to determine the percentage of a cfDNA sample that is fetal, and we have designed a panel of insertion/deletion polymorphisms which can be used to calculate these fetal fraction.
