Supporting data for " Preventing dental erosion using silver diamine fluoride"

Dental erosion is the dissolution of the mineralised tooth surface caused by non-bacterial acids.Erosive tooth wear (ETW) is a result of demineralisation caused by erosive acid and abrasion.Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) is one of the polyvalent metal fluorides. SDF has not been widely investigated on dentalerosion prevention.
To now, the effect of SDF on dental erosion is available only a few evidence-based research, which mainly conducted on bovine tooth samples. The promising anti-erosive properties of SDF from previous studies were more acid resistance and more silver compounds precipitated on SDF-treated surfaces. It is necessary to study the effectiveness of SDF against dental erosion on human enamel and dentine samples.
