This study investigates the genotypic cause of avirulence in mutant strains of Zymoseptoria tritici using whole genome resequencing, identifying mutations in the BCK1 and adenylate cyclase genes within the cell wall integrity and cAMP signalling pathways, respectively. To understand the transcriptomic impacts of loss-of-function in these genes, knockout mutants in these genes were characterised for their gene expression during infection of wheat using RNA sequencing. This ENA project contains raw data from whole genome resequencing and RNA sequencing experiments.
