Data and code for: Seed Germination Responses Following Animal-Mediated Seed Ingestion in Tropical Studies: A Meta-analysis

This repository contains the raw data and R scripts supporting the meta-analysis of seed germination responses following animal-mediated seed ingestion in tropical studies. The dataset includes information from 48 studies, comprising 473 effect sizes, 265 seed species, and 58 animal species. The repository includes the raw data used for effect-size calculation, study characteristics, seed and animal trait data, and R scripts for data preparation, meta-analysis, meta-regression, and figure generation. The analyses assess overall germination responses, treatment–control comparisons, mean germination time, faecal presence, seed mass, animal body mass, and their interaction. Intermediate datasets generated during analysis are not included because they can be reproduced from the raw data using the provided scripts.
