Case Study Interpretation for the 2012 ICCS meeting. A 9-year old boy presented with anemia (8.8g/dL), leukocytosis (22.9 K/uL) and lymphadenopathy unresponsive to antibiotics. Lymph node biopsy reveals an acute myeloid leukemia with multiple T-cell antigen expression on the basis of evidence of myeloid differentiation but lack of CD3 expression. No flow was performed. [Blastic cells express CD34, CD117, CD68, CD33, lysozyme, Tdt, CD99, CD2, CD5, CD7; lack MPO, CD3, CD1a, CD10, CD4, CD8, TCR betaF-1, and B-cell markers (CD20, CD79a).] Subsequent bone marrow biopsy was performed and aspirate submitted for flow cytometric analysis. Conclusion: Download and analyze fcs files. Diagnosis will be discussed at the meeting.
