Trees

All trees managed by the Municipality of Eindhoven are part of this data collection.The administrative data displayed when you click on an object gives more information about the status (by indication), tree species, size of the tree, etc. In the administrative dates of the tree, among other things, the ‘status for indication’ can be found. This indicative status is determined on the basis of the most up-to-date data, but the status of a tree may change due to circumstances. Checking the status of a tree is therefore always necessary. The tree status derives from [the Regulation on trees (2021) of the Municipality of Eindhoven] (https://lokaleregelgeving.overheid.nl/CVDR657211). **In accordance with the Regulation on trees, the following statuses occur in this data collection:** *Base tree* The “base” label applies to all trees that are not private, nor valuable or monumental. These are all ‘other’ trees in the public space (owned by the municipality of Eindhoven) or private land. Only the municipal base trees are included in the database and associated map. We call a tree ‘basic tree’ if this tree does not fall under one of the categories below but is owned by the municipality of Eindhoven. “Base trees” in forests are not included. *Valued tree* This is a municipal tree that meets at least the following requirements: — The tree has an age of at least 50 years; — The tree must not be in an irreversible condition (full decay of the tree must not be expected within 10 years). Also, all trees within the municipal green structure are valuable, regardless of their age size etc. The tree provides at least an important added value for: Nature, Landscape, Cultural history, city and village clean, livability, water storage, heat stress, production, the intrinsic values of a tree. *Monumental tree* Monumental trees are municipal or privately owned trees that meet the following requirements: — The tree has an age of at least 80 years, whereby an exception can be made for a tree of great dendrological value and/or a rare tree or a commemorative tree); — The tree must not be in an irreversible condition (full decay of the tree must not be expected within 10 years; — Commemorative trees are also monumental trees, regardless of their size age, etc.; The tree provides at least an important added value for: Nature, Landscape, Cultural history, city and village clean, livability, water storage, heat stress, production, the intrinsic values of a tree. **Eak processierups** For oaks there are a number of attributes marked with the term “EPR” (EPR\_ANWEZIG, EPR\_BESTRIDINGSMETHODE, EPR\_STADIUM, etc.). These attributes relate to the observation and subsequent control of the oak procession.
