Parkes observations for project P960 semester 2024OCTS_13

We aim to carry out receiver pointing and characterisation tests of Parkes receivers. Typically, these tests are carried out after the receiver package is installed, but time does not always allow for proper characterisation. Receivers for consideration include UWL, MARS and 13MM packages. In addition to cross-referencing C007 for flux calibration via pointing, we aim to conduct gain-elevation and system temperature experiments using the Moon, to ensure users of the Parkes Observatory have the most accurate information available for calibration purposes.本研究旨在开展帕克斯（Parkes）射电接收机的指向校准与特性表征测试。通常，此类测试会在接收机套件安装完成后进行，但受限于时间条件，往往无法完成完整的特性表征工作。本次测试覆盖的接收机套件包括UWL、MARS及13MM组件。除通过指向校准交叉参考C007开展流量校准外，本研究还计划以月球作为校准源，开展增益-仰角与系统温度相关实验，以确保帕克斯天文台的使用者能够获取用于校准工作的最精准参考数据。
