Intensified Official Controls

The Intensified Official Control (IOC) check system is intended to improve the safety of imported foods into GB. IOC checks are applied when import checks already undertaken show that legislation has been seriously or repeatedly breached. The additional import checks are implemented to provide stronger assurance that food is safe when entering GB market. The checks are normally applied only to the specific establishment where there are concerns for public health.

If there are unfavourable failures during the Intensified Official Control period, the issue will be escalated Imposed Checks (IC). Products under IC will have additional safeguard measures in place. Current IOC that has escalated to IC is highlighted under Current Status.

强化官方控制（Intensified Official Control，简称IOC）检查系统旨在提升进入GB市场的进口食品的安全性。当进口检查已发现法规被严重或反复违反时，将实施IOC检查。额外的进口检查旨在为食品进入GB市场时提供更坚实的安全保障。通常，这些检查仅针对公众健康存在疑虑的具体机构进行。在强化官方控制期间如出现不利的检查结果，问题将被升级至强制检查（Imposed Checks，简称IC）。在IC下，产品将采取额外的安全防护措施。当前已从IOC升级至IC的检查情况将在当前状态中突出显示。
