Dataset for: Proppant Transport and Placement Mechanisms in Complex Fracture Networks of Deep Coal Reservoirs

This dataset provides the geometric models and numerical simulation results supporting the study on meso-scale proppant transport in coalbed methane (CBM) reservoirs. The research investigates the coupled effects of realistic surface roughness and injection dynamics on proppant placement within complex fracture networks (comprising hydraulic fractures, cleats, and bedding planes) using a validated Computational Fluid Dynamics-Discrete Element Method (CFD-DEM) approach.
