The exceptional hazard corresponds to the additional area that would be flooded for a centennial flood in the event of a malfunction of the Marne reservoir dam (flow rate of 1 000 m³/s). Mapping of the flood hazard for a centennial flood of the Marne carried out as part of the development of the PPRi — Châlons-en-Champagne sector (prefectural decrees of 1 July 2011). This area concerns 32 communes of Chaussée-sur-Marne in Cherville. This digital mapping is not regulatory in nature.
