District-level Climate And Mango Production Data -- Tamil Nadu, India

Monthly climate data (2007-2020) and mango yield data (2008-2019) for 31 districts in Tamil Nadu, India.: Daily climate data for minimum and maximum temperatures, rainfall and solar radiation were from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) Reanalysis v5 (ERA5) and obtained from the Copernicus Climate Data Store (https://cds.climate.copernicus.eu/). Growing degree days (GDD) were calculated using the minimum and maximum temperatures and a temperature base of 17 °C. Monthly values for GDD, rainfall and solar radiation, along with the standard deviations of their daily values are provided in the file. Yield data were calculated based on mango production data retrieved from agricultural statistics distributed by the Government of Tamil Nadu Department of Economics and Statistics (https://des.tn.gov.in/).
